General Rate Increase announced for March 2010 2010-02-02

Ocean carriers servicing the Far-East and Indian Sub-Continent have announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective March 1, 2010 on all Canadian destined cargo as follows:

Local Vancouver Only (Vancouver local CY and Door cargo within BC):

USD $320.00 per 20’ container
USD $400.00 per 40’ container
USD $450.00 per 40’HC container
USD $506.00 per 45’ container

All Other Canadian Destinations (incl. all Intermodal/MLB and East Coast All-Water shipments): 

USD $400.00 per 20’ container
USD $500.00 per 40’ container
USD $565.00 per 40’HC container
USD $635.00 per 45’ container

Please note this is above the previously announced GRI effective May 1, 2010 and PSS effective August 1, 2010.
