More Good News for Importers: Eleven New Duty Free End Use Tariff Items

In addition to the general tariff reductions proposed in the 2010 federal budget, the Government of Canada has created the following eleven new duty free end-use tariff items.
- HS.15131910
Coconut oil and its fractions, for use in the manufacture of animal feeds.
- HS.54023420
Multifilament single yarn, solely of polypropylene, textured, measuring 715 decitex or more but not exceeding 2290 decitex, for use in the manufacture of woven fabrics.
- HS.54079350
Woven fabric, 3-thread twill weave fabrics, of polyester filaments in the warp and viscose rayon filaments in the weft, of a weight not exceeding 100g/m2, for use in the manufacture of apparel.
- HS.55151240
Plain woven fabrics, from yarns of different colours, containing 70% or more by weight of polyester staple fibres in the weft, and 20% or more by weight of polyester filament yarns in the warp, of a weight not exceeding 140g/m2, for use in the manufacture of men’s or boys’ suit jackets, blazers or sports jackets.

Woven fabric, solely of rayon staple fibres, bleached, of a width exceeding 280cm, having a sum of yarns per 10cm in the warp and the weft of 1060 or more, for use in the manufacture of bed linen, duvet covers, pillow shams, cushions and cushion covers.

Woven fabric, solely of rayon staple fibres, dyed, of a width exceeding 280cm, having a sum of yarns per 10cm in the warp and the weft of 1085 or more, for use in the manufacture of bed linen, duvet covers, pillow shams, cushions and cushion covers.

Plain weave fabric, of unbleached yarns, composed predominately of viscose rayon staple fibres, mixed mainly with horsehair, cotton and polyester staple fibres, of a weight not exceeding 225g/m2, for use in the manufacture of apparel.

Warp pile fabric, cut, solely of polyester, including the ground fabric, brushed, for use in the manufacture of coffin interiors.

Brake drums, hubs and rotors for use in the repair of brakes and brake assemblies mounted on axles for semi-trailers.
